What to Wear on Labor Day

When I think of Labor Day, I think of a relaxing day off with family, friends and barbecues. Outfits are usually fuss-free and something that’ll keep me cool in warm weather. It’s also usually seen as the last “hoorah” before fall comes, so it’s a time to relax and unwind. It’s also one of the last times you can wear white (just kidding — that’s an old fashion rule that you can definitely break).

What to Wear on Labor Day – More Ideas

• If you know you’ll spending time by the pool, opt for a swimsuit, a cute coverup, and some flip flops.
• For a casual BBQ or get-together, you can’t go wrong with jean cutoff shorts and a billowy blouse.
• For a more formal event, opt for a loose maxi dress with a straw bag and/or hat.
• If you’re taking your Labor Day partying into the night (like smores by the bonfire), be sure to bring a light sweater or hoodie.
