Party on the Bottom

leopard jeans

White button-front blouse  /  Leopard jeans  /  Nude patent pumps  /  Snakeskin clutch  /   Revlon lip butter in “Strawberry Shortcake”

I’ve never had good luck finding printed pants that a. fit my small frame, b. don’t make me look like a crazy person, or 3. would match any top that I have in my closet. Luckily, I caved in and bought these leopard skinny jeans from the girls section in Target. I really like the way they fit and look, and the muted grey colors will go with a lot of different tops. I chose to keep it simple with a white blouse and nude heels this time around. The trick to pulling off patterned pants is to make sure the fit is great and that your top is simple. You don’t want your top to compete with the print of the pants, you’ll risk looking like a crazy person as I mentioned above.

  1. These look great on you! I love printed pants (as you saw yesterday!) but I don’t own enough of them! Now I’m going to check out Target, thanks to you!! : ) Love this outfit. xo,

  2. You look so pretty! I love these pants! I almost bought leopard print pants like this on Black Friday but resisted because I already had a pair of printed pants in hand. Now I’m wishing I would have kept them 😉

    Love your nude pumps too!

  3. You look SO adorable! And seriously, you can find the cutest stuff at Target if you dig. I found my shoes for the wedding I’m in there – and they were insanely cheap!

  4. I’m loving this simple, yet chic look.
You styled everything flawlessly and not to mention you could probably look wonderful in ANYTHING.
The patent heels have to be my favorite though – they are the perfect compliment to the outfit.

  5. Rachel, how pretty you look today. That white blouse let your tan appear so brown *jealous* and that pattern pants look so elegant on you. I love this outfit so much pretty lady 🙂

  6. You look amazing!!!! You are so gorgeous! I love those pants, I’m jealous that you can wear clothes in the girls section 🙂 I have one pair of printed pants from the Limited that I honestly still haven’t figured out what to do with!

  7. I usually try to down-play my bottom half, so I’ve steered away from printed pants so far but I love the way you paired them with a simple top and shoes!

  8. I totally agree about keeping it simple on top – I have a pair of similar muted leopard skinnies from Loft. I don’t think I’ve worn them with anything other than a solid blouse 🙂

  9. These look great on you! And your were right to stick to basic/neutral pieces for the rest of your outfit. I totally got into the floral jeans trend – I have three pairs! 🙂

    1. Thanks Courtney! I actually haven;t lightened it, I think it looks lighter when I straighten it though. The bottom half is a lighter shade than my roots from the ombre I did last year.

  10. I love those jeans! I’m wary about wearing printed jeans, but the color of these are great! They’re not over the top and they come across as a neutral. And don’t you just love being able to fit into girls jeans? I know I do, lol

  11. You look amazing! Those pants look too good to be from Target. I always have trouble finding bottoms that fit too.  Never ever thought to look in the girls section though, great idea! Now I can shop for my kids and myself together haha.

  12. Those patterned pants look great on you. I think the fact that you are so tiny helps because the pattern isn’t overwhelming at all. I wish I could pull them off but there is absolutely no way!
