I am so thrilled (and thankful) that the lovely folks over at Jose Eber for gifting me one of their infrared blow dryers. If you know me in real life or are a loyal follower of this blog, you know that I have long hair. And lots of it. It’s naturally wavy and takes a long time to blow dry perfectly. I had been using a cheap Conair blow dryer for the past few years, and while it got the job done, it didn’t do anything magical for my hair. Needless to say when the heat setting button broke a few months ago, I was on the lookout for an upgrade.
The Jose Eber infrared blow dryer isn’t just a regular blow dryer. The infrared light infuses a gentle heat deep inside the hair cuticle, not on the surface of the hair shaft, decreasing drying time by half. I don’t have a whole lot of time in the morning (or even at night) to blow dry my hair, so this was a huge selling point for me. Typically, my wet-from-the-shower hair takes about 25 minutes to dry completely. I have to use a diffuser nozzle at first to evenly dry my natural waves/curls, and then use a more concentrated nozzle to blow dry my hair semi-straight. With this blow dryer, it only took about 12 minutes!
In addition to saving me plenty of time, I wanted a dryer that wouldn’t damage my hair and would add shine. This Jose Eber model eliminates the risk of damage with its even heat distribution. It also leads to greater shine, smoother hair, and easier styling. That’s a win-win in my book! I try to limit my blow drying (I used to only do it once a week maybe), but now I feel more at-ease blow drying my hair more since the damage is less.
