It’s Not Easy Being Green

If there’s one color in my wardrobe that seems to be lacking, it’s green. I love the color itself, but for some reason, I don’t have all that much in the shade. This all changed when I received this gorgeous maxi skirt from Oasap. I loved the flowy and thin fabric, which is perfect for hot summer days (like the 85-degree day that these photos were taken. Thank God for makeup setting spray). I was surprised at how well the skirt fit, too, since maxis usually are way too long for my short frame and too big around the waist. Thankfully, this one had an elastic waistband, which allows me to wear the skirt on my hips or belly button for a high-waisted look

Since the skirt is the main attraction here, I kept the rest simple. A white tee, some white summer wedges and tons of fun bracelets. I plan on wearing this skirt year-round (I’m thinking a black turtleneck or long-sleeve shirt for winter) to make the most of it.

What other ways would you style a boldy-colored maxi skirt like this one?

  5. I love that shade of green. Funny i had the same problem too. Didn’t own much of it. I actually got a pair of kelly green skinnys at the Zara sale last week for 29$! I feel they were a welcome color option for the bottom half! I’m kinda over mint!
I love the color on you, I’m sure you will get tons of wear out of it!
BTW what setting spray do you use for your makeup?

    1. I use Urban Decay setting spray (I’m right down to the bottom of the bottle, so I’m using the cheaper e.l.f. version until I find time to go to a Sephora!) Thanks Jill!

  6. Very pretty maxi. I really like the simplicity of this look, very chic and pretty 🙂

  8. ohhh I love this! I pinned an outfit similar but I like the way yours came out more! I just bought green capris and I’ve already worn them a lot more than I thought I would. So far I’ve really liked pairing it with a nice navy blue top!

  9. There is no way you could look any more gorgeous! I don’t own any green, although I bet it would be a good color on me with my red hair. You look stunning Rachel!

  10. This is such a cute outfit! You look so great in a white tee, if I could pull it off, that’s all I’d wear!

  11. LOVE this green on you! I have been adding a lot of green lately. I don’t have any yellow and very little red…weird?!
