how to wear a white dress

You know the saying, “wear my heart on my sleeve”? Well, today I’m wearing my heart on my back. Sort of. When I saw this Chicwish dress, I knew it had to be mine. I have a weird obsession with things with hearts on them. Which is odd because I’m not a super girly-girl. Or a 13-year-old. But we all have our quirks, right?

Although I try to stay away from little white dresses unless I’m tan, I figured this one was too pretty to pass up. I love the structured top matched with the flared-out bottom. It’s not too tight or revealing and is classy enough to wear to any summer event (unless it’s a wedding- you don’t ever wear white to a wedding, people!)

And although I dislike wearing my hair up a lot, sometimes it’s necessary. Like when it’s 90 degrees outside. Or when you have a cute heart cut-out on the back of your dress that you want to show off. Or a combination of both.

  1. I love the high bun and the cutouts together! And it’s so sweet when the interesting details are at the back.

  2. You look great in white, for some reason you remind me of Cinderalla in these photos – probably the sock bun!

  3. The heart on the back is so cute! Hair up is definitely a must for the heat/the beautiful detailing of the dress!

  4. love the heart on the back! i’ve seen a few that don’t have a space for your bra to go, but this dress is great because that strip below the heart covers up your bra nicely 🙂

  5. You look stunning Rachel! I’m a huge fan of white in the summer and I love the adorable back detail on this dress! I’d love for you to do my hair in a beautiful sock bun!
