Fall Weekend 2013

demarest farms nj

This past Saturday James and I had our token “fall weekend” that every couple/family/group of friends has annually. We usually go upstate to a farm near my house, but this year we decided to explore what was around us in New Jersey (yes- there are pretty trees and farms in NJ, believe it or not). A coworker of his recommended to check out Demarest Farms, so we did.

Demarest Farms has everything- and I mean everything- you would want in a fall farm. They had apple picking, pumpkin picking, a corn maze and the best food- seriously. They may make the best chicken noodle soup I’ve ever had. The leaves are starting to change colors here, so the scenery was beautiful and reminded me a lot of home. We left with our bellies full and some apple cider donuts to snack on, of course.

Fall is probably my favorite season- especially early fall when it’s not freezing yet and the air smells crisp. Plus Halloween is coming up soon, which just excites me even more. Here are some photos to look at- hellloooo fall!

  1. WOW! The trees look so gorgeous! The trees here are taking awhile to change… hopefully it will be that gorgeous this weekend! 🙂 I think we are having our annual fall weekend the 18th and 19th!

  2. Those trees are gorgeous! Around me the trees are just starting to change ever so slightly. I’ve never been to Demarest Farms, but I’ll have to check it out!

  3. The trees are so pretty with the changing leaves! I’m hoping to go pumpkin picking sometime this month too. 🙂

  4. Gorgeous colors!!! I love seeing bloggers post these beautiful fall photos!! I’m from the Midwest where there are gorgeous falls but I’ve been misplaced in the South and we don’t get true falls here!!

  5. Oh goodness, all of these pretty fall leaves is making me miss the changing seasons out here in Florida! So beautiful!

  6. Ughhhhh I LOVE the pictures! & I miss real fall… palm trees don’t turn.

And I’m pretty sure pumpkin patches are unheard of in Phoenix. I’m going to live vicariously through you now 😀
