Now that it’s October (and officially fall!), I thought I would share a few photos of my fall decor. While some people go crazy with Halloween-themed decorations, I prefer to stick to a neutral fall style. When we lived in an apartment, I barely decorated for any holiday. The apartment was old and gross, and I felt that no matter what I bought at Michaels or Target would really make an improvement. We also had two cats in a 750-square foot space, so the Christmas tree or fall centerpiece didn’t stand a chance.
Now that we have a house to decorate, it’s much easier (and fun) to decorate. More wall space. More tables to fill up. The cats still will knock over a decoration or two here and there – that part hasn’t changed much.
While I was transitioning between jobs, I took a week off to get my life together. To run errands I had been neglecting (finally upgrade from my iPhone 6, replace my car battery), to order our wedding album (2 years later, oops), and to do some shopping. Perusing the aisles of Michaels and Hobby Lobby on a Wednesday at 2 pm is so much easier than the standard Saturday afternoon with the rest of the state of NJ.
P.S. Any of the real pumpkins you see below are from my Dad’s garden!
