12 Cute Holiday Sweaters
A cute holiday sweater is a versatile must-have in every woman’s wardrobe. There are so many ways to wear one depending on your event or situation. Low-key holiday party at the office? A cute holiday sweater, ponte knit pants, and heels. A Christmas cookie decorating get-together with friends? A cute holiday sweater with jeans and sneakers. Christmas eve with family? A cute holiday sweater with a leather mini skirt and booties.
Now there’s a time and place for ugly holiday sweaters, but none of the following fall into that category in my eyes. (Imagine wearing a cute holiday sweater and someone saying they love your ugly holiday sweater! I think about this situation often).
Women’s 2024 Holiday Sweater Trends
- Bows. I covered how bows are a big trend this fall, and I don’t see that going anywhere for winter. I love a good bow — it adds a touch of femininity to any outfit and makes you look more put together. Bows make me think of the holidays due to the gift wrapping, so it’s no surprise a ton of holiday sweaters this year feature them.
- Words. Whether it’s “Apres Ski” or just a simple “Cheers”, sweaters with words or phrases on them are big this season.
- Fair Isle. To be fair, I’m not sure Fair Isle sweaters will ever go out of style, but this year I’ve been seeing them all over the place. What’s new and different about them is the cute or nostalgic elements, like reindeer, holly, or nutcrackers.
