One way to make these gloomy January days better is online shopping for spring things! While I can’t bring myself to look at anything summer yet (I don’t even want to think about having to fit into a bathing suit this summer), spring is A-OK in my book. Spring Office Supplies

Rachel you are a very insightful, straight talking writer. The article about female competition really hit home. I was a tomboy with 3 brothers and never felt competitive, either. It is sad when you have friends who act insecure about their appearance or their abilities, etc. And you’d think it would stop at some point when you get older. I just hit 60 last June and look really young still, and even got carded for buying cough syrup when I was around 53, lol. So this woman who is about 13 years older than me made some snide comment when I wore a dress to pick up some meds for my husband. Something like ‘are you going to flirt with the pharmacist,’ I relied on her for a lift as I lost my driving privileges due to failing eyesight. I was born with terrible eyesight but the point is I dumped her lol. As you continue your life don’t be afraid to get rid of people because you think you’re weird to not have companionship. Live for your family and pets if you have them. I have my good friend from highschool in addition to my husband and 2 dogs. I have two great neighbors and a good relationship with my publisher. Ppl are always watching the Joneses, though, competing in different ways I won’t get into. You get the idea. Just do you and if ppl act jealous, remember who loves you and Keep on writing!
