The Best 2025 Christmas Decor For Your Home

It’s officially the 2025 holiday season which means it’s time for pulling out (or buying some new!) Christmas decor. This year’s Christmas décor trends lean heavily into nostalgia, heirloom pieces (oversized bows, retro glass baubles, and storybook-style decor that evokes childhood Christmases) and elevated textures. Deep jewel tones like emerald, navy, plum, and burgundy are making waves, paired with softer metallics like brass, rose gold, and antique copper to add subtle shimmer. From big-box stores like Target to boutique shops, retailers are embracing the “Ralph Lauren Christmas” aesthetic and the “Nutcrackercore” movement (yes, the name cracks me up!)

Whether you’re curating a cozy, heritage-inspired setup or mixing in bold, curated elements, here are my picks for 2025 Christmas décor from 10 stores.

Southern Living (at Dillard’s) Christmas Decor

While I’m a northeastern NJ suburb girl, I know some of those who end up on my blog are from the south and therefore favor the more southern decor styles. The 2025 Southern Living Christmas Collection at Dillard’s blends classic Southern charm with the nostalgic, handcrafted trends defining this year’s holiday decor. The pieces shown below — gold-detailed glass ornaments, beaded bow napkin rings, scalloped embroidered placemats, a frosted wreath with a velvet bow, and a vintage-inspired Santa plate — create a warm, heritage-rich foundation for decorating. If you want to bring some pink to your Christmas decor, this is perfect!

Crate and Barrel Christmas Decor

Create and Barrel is great if you’re looking for a modern, elevated approach to holiday styling. Their pieces are a mix of clean lines, natural materials, and playful seasonal motifs. Cooler tones also play a big role, especially with the soft teal ornaments and the winter scene kitchen towel, while sculptural elements like the marble peppermint-inspired serving board and the gold three-tier serving tree introduce both function and artistry. Woven rattan trees and gift boxes contribute warmth and texture, balancing the sleeker pieces for a grounded, cozy feel.

Target Christmas Decor

The pieces below from Target feature some of the biggest 2025 decor trends: heritage holiday styling, the rise of natural materials, and a renewed love for simple, meaningful pieces that evoke classic Christmas charm. The overall vibe is nostalgic and warm (if I had to choose only 2 adjectives to describe the style). I’m so glad they are continuing their collections with Studio McGee and and Hearth and Hand, which is where many of the pieces below are from.

Anthropologie Christmas Decor

For a festive yet whimsical aesthetic, look no further than Anthropologie! Their Christmas collection blends nostalgic charm with contemporary maximalist flair, what some call “quirky nostalgia” or “practical maximalism”. Traditional holiday elements are elevated with unexpected color, texture, and personalized touches. How cute are the food ornaments? (They look good enough to eat to me.)

Pottery Barn Christmas Decor

If you want a Christmas look that is classic, cozy, and luxurious (or even are a fan of the 2025 trend of “Ralph Lauren Christmas”, Pottery Barn is for you. This styling is on-trend for 2025, with the return to nostalgia and timeless traditions. As always, they added a few new holiday pillows to the rotation, including a cheery Santa and adorable Christmas tree puppy.

World Market Christmas Decor

World Market’s Christmas pieces are distinctly playful, bright, and retro-inspired, leaning heavily into a “modern kitsch” or “candy-colored holiday” style. Some of my favorites below are the colored Christmas village, the embroidered pillows, and the gnome ladder hanging decor.

Amazon Christmas Decor

Don’t sleep on Amazon when it comes to Christmas decor this year! While some items can be poor quality, there are hidden gems (read the reviews!) The pieces below focus on traditional red, green, and gold colors to evoke a feeling of timeless, heartwarming Christmas cheer. The wooden serving board would make a great hostess gift, while the velvet bows are a trendy way to update your Christmas tree this year.

West Elm Christmas Decor

West Elm’s 2025 Christmas decor collection features Nordic-inspired pieces and a Mid-Century modern aesthetic. The overall feeling is minimalist with unexpected moments of whimsy. How cute are the mice serving plates and the red bow tree skirt? The Yeti pillow is perfect for adding some holiday cheer to a child’s room (or an adult’s, I don’t judge).

Magnolia Christmas Decor

Magnolia is known for their aesthetic of refined rustic charm. These Christmas pieces feature antique-inspired color palette of deep reds, muted greens, creams, and natural wood tones. Key items include the carved wooden Christmas tree figure, the wicker/straw sleigh carrying mossy ornaments, and the large, distressed brass bell. The decorative pieces, like the framed vintage-style postage stamps, lean into a highly curated, heritage feel.

Etsy Christmas Decor

Etsy has something for every holiday decor “style”, ranging from whimsy to heritage. It’s my go-to spot for personalized pieces, like the ornate stocking below. The ceramic cups are a nice homemade alternative tot he Old Fashioned glasses you see at all the stores in this blog post, and the wooden Christmas village houses are a fun take on the classic white ceramic ones.
